The Local Government Unit of Polanco has received a brand-new Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), a significant boost to the municipality’s ongoing efforts to provide faster, more accessible, and more reliable medical services to all Polancohanons.
Mayor Shaia Ruth “Ying” Uy expressed her gratitude to PCSO for the assistance, emphasizing how crucial the vehicle will be in enhancing the town’s healthcare response.
“Dakong tabang kini sa pagpadali ug pagpalapad sa among serbisyo medikal. Ang lig-on ug duol nga healthcare usa sa among prayoridad para sa tanan,” Mayor Uy said.
The turnover was part of a larger PCSO initiative that distributed 106 Patient Transport Vehicles to various cities and municipalities across Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao del Sur, and Isabela City in Basilan. Polanco was among the identified beneficiaries in this region-wide rollout.
Mayor Uy shared her appreciation for the continued support of PCSO and the national government, noting that the PTV will significantly help the community, especially in emergency situations and patient transport needs.
“Nalipay ug mapasalamaton ko nga usa ang Polanco sa mga nakadawat niini. God bless Polanco,” she added.
The LGU looks forward to deploying the PTV immediately to strengthen medical response operations under its commitment to Doble Serbisyo, Duyog Asenso for all residents.
