The 24th Pasalamat Festival, also known as Sinulog sa Polanco 2025, is a vibrant celebration held in Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte reflecting the town’s deep-rooted faith and cultural heritage. In coordination of the LGU of Polanco headed by our honorable Mayor Evan Hope “Boyet” Olvis and the local parish of Polanco, a nine-day mobile novena of the Holy Infant Jesus across the schools of Polanco was held to honor the Miraculous Child, Señor Santo Niño.



At 7 in the morning of January 26, the festivities covered with vibrant colors accompanied with beat of the drums commenced with a Sinulog street dance around the streets of Poblacion, followed by a thanksgiving mass dedicated to Sr. Sto. Niño for the miracles and blessings that he has been pouring to our beloved municipality, to its local farmers and to the whole Polancohanons in general.
A highlight of the festival was the Sinulog Dance Final Showdown, where contingents from various schools and barangays participated adorned in colorful costumes. In addition to these festivities, the festival included various activities such as the Search for Pasalamat Festival Queen 2025 with Ms. Jeanicah Kyla Joven of Poblacion South as the newly hailed Pasalamat Festival Queen 2025 and followed by a live band, rave and street party in the evening.
The Pasalamat Festival 2025 not only celebrated the municipality’s cultural and religious traditions but also marked a period of progress for Polanco. In lieu of the municipality’s recent recognition as a first-class municipality, attributing this achievement to the collective efforts of the community.
Overall, the Pasalamat Festival 2025 served as a testament to the enduring faith, unity, and resilience of the people of Polanco, fostering a sense of pride and gratitude within the community.
